In the summer, water flows in abundance as the ice melts in the sunnier climate, allowing the falls to show off their full potential. Bring your camera with you when you visit, or else miss some of the most marvellous photo ops you’ll ever have.
 

Krimmler Panoramic Road

No visit to the Krimmler Waterfalls is complete without a beautiful walk in nature. There’s a panoramic road right nearby purely for this purpose, all within an easy reach of your apartment in Königsleiten. Stretching four kilometres along the waterfalls and more majestic natural sights, it’s an ideal viewpoint for a hike to remember. Meanwhile, many restaurants and cafes are within close proximity, providing you with a perfect spot for a bite to eat or to refresh with a drink.
 

Durlaßboden Reservoir

During the warm summer months, nothing beats taking the edge off the temperature with a dip in cool water. WasserWunderWelt

When you’re staying in Königsleiten, you’re only a short trip away from WasserWunderWelt. This park is located near the Krimmler Waterfalls and celebrates all things water. You and the little ones will learn plenty here, with enthralling exhibits to keep the grey matter turning. Observatory

One of the most exciting and educational days out in Königsleiten is a trip to the local observatory. This planetarium has a unique location high in the Austrian mountains. Toboggan Run

Experience a thrill like no other when you vacation in Königsleiten with a ride on the local toboggan run. The Arena Coaster run is just west of the town, promising nail-biting excitement for young and old. The run totals 1,450 metres, with plenty of bends and turns to look forward to. It’s a real rush to descend down this run, while there’s few better ways to take in the sights of your new surroundings than from your spot in the toboggan itself. There’s also a children’s playground here so they can burn off any energy that might be left after braving the Arena Coaster.
