About Fanningberg
The ski resort is located above Fanning, a small village in the municipality Mariapfarr. 30km of ski slopes are distributed in just under half of simple, about one-quarter moderate and at least one-third heavy slopes, so that there’s something for everyone. This makes the ski area between Mariapfarr, Weisspriach and Mauterndorf at the same time a wonderful place to stay for families. Only a few kilometres away are even more slopes that can be used with a common ski pass, such as the Grosseck-Speiereck ski area.
The Lungau is a quiet area where you’ll find more than just winter sports: there are also pretty towns to marvel at, culinary discoveries and excursions to discover nature and culture. Even families with children will find themselves at home here. Between Radstädter and Schladminger Tauern, the landscape is rather lovely and less rugged than in other parts of the Alps.
If you like it cosy and appreciate short distances, then Fanningberg is the place for you. Snow-sure, sunny, manageable and familiar—Fanningberg is a convincing alternative for connoisseurs. And do not worry if you're a beginner: there are three tow lifts to practice!
