A unique world amidst glaciers and likes waiting to be discovered

Zell am See and its neighbour Kaprun are known all over the world - even to those who aren't keen on skiing. This is certainly due to the natural beauty of the landscape, with grassy mountains, great swaths of the slate Alps, not to mention the majestic attractions of the Hohe Tauern National Park with its 3,000 metre peaks and glaciated plateaus. Here you are in the heart of the Salzburger Land - and arguably right in the middle of one of its most beautiful spots. The ski areas reach up to over 3,000 metres on the Kitzsteinhorn and down to about 800 metres near Zell am See. The only glacier in the federal state of Salzburg is used almost all year round, the other slopes are guaranteed snow from December - modern snow-making facilities make it possible.
