The lively village in the heart of Hohe Tauern

The village of Mittersill is located in the middle of the Hohe Tauern mountains in Salzburgerland. It's a popular place because of its central location between the Pass Thurn and Felbertauerns. The village is located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park at an altitude of 789 metres and is part of the Kitzbühel & Kirchberg (Kitzski) winter sports area. Due to its central location, you can also easily travel to the neighbouring ski areas Wildkogel Arena, Zell am See or Zillertal Arena. Demanding skiers venture down the extremely steep piste of the Hahnenkamm while families appreciate the range of amusement parks and toboggan runs. And those who want to enjoy themselves in style have definitely come to the right place.
