Description of Chalet Veenroos

This spacious, detached, 10-12-person chalet is located in a quiet area between the villages of Wald im Pinzgau and Neukirchen am Groβvenediger. The room-wide glass front provides the attractively furnished living room with lots of natural light and a beautiful view. In the living room, you can relax in the comfortable sitting area, dine at the spacious dining table and make use of the modern, fully equipped kitchen. This holiday home is ideal for vacations with family or friends. There are two bedrooms with double beds, bunk beds and en-suite bathrooms, and three bedrooms that each sleep two people. There are two parking spaces in the covered garage and two parking spaces at the side of the house. The great location, the quiet location, the solid Austrian construction, the sauna, the spacious garden and above average size of 220 m2 make Veenroos a unique home.

In winter, the Wildkogel Arena ski area is less than a 10-minute drive from Chalet Veenroos. If you want to check out more advanced areas, the Zillertal Arena and Kitzbüheler Alpen are also easily accessible by car. After a sporting day in the snow, store your skis and ski boots in the ski storage room and warm up by the traditional Austrian stove for extra warmth and cosiness. Finally, relax your muscles in the Finnish sauna and you'll be fit for new winter sports adventures the very next day.

In summer, you start the day with a magnificent view of the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern nature reserve; a landscape that is never boring. Go out with the included 'Nationalpark Sommercard' and enjoy extra discounts and free summer activities in the area. For example, visit the Krimmler waterfalls to view Europe's highest waterfalls, while the adjacent 'WasserWunderWelt'theme park is fun for the children.

Neukirchen am Grossvenediger

Pinzgau hospitality offers plenty for tourists

The Großvenediger is the highest mountain of the federal state Salzburg and Neukirchen lies directly at its feet. Located at 856 metres above sea level in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, the cosy, authentic Austrian village is an ideal starting point for skiing pleasure of all kinds, especially in the nearby Wildkogel Arena. In this snow-sure ski area, the range of sports on offer is very varied and family-friendly. The Wildkogel lift takes you directly to 2100 metres above sea level. 75 kilometres of slopes are right on your doorstep, and twice as much in the Zillertal Arena next door. Europe's longest illuminated toboggan run is fun for children and parents alike. You can spend the evening in one of our cosy holiday apartments or in the no less cosy town centre. You have more than 60 houses and apartments to choose from!
