The inviting living room with a comfortable seating area and open fireplace, combined with the spacious kitchen-diner, forms the heart of the chalet. Here, you can enjoy cosy evenings together, while the high-quality finish and warm interior create a welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to the generous layout, everyone has plenty of space to spend time together or retreat for some peace and quiet.
The chalet features four comfortable bedrooms and three bathrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub, shower, toilet, and double washbasin. In addition, there are two bedrooms with double beds and a separate bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and washbasin. The fourth bedroom offers a double bed and a bunk bed and includes a private bathroom with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. There are also two separate toilets.
After an active day in the mountains, you can completely unwind in the private wellness area featuring a Finnish sauna, relaxation room with sun loungers, and a walk-in shower.
In winter, Chalet Forest is an excellent base for your holiday. The ski bus stops within walking distance and takes you to the family-friendly Grosseck-Speiereck ski area or the popular resort of Obertauern. The Fanningberg and Katschberg ski areas are also easily accessible. After an active day in the snow, enjoy a relaxing evening by the fireplace, in the sauna, or in the outdoor whirlpool under the starry sky.
During the summer months Mauterndorf is also a wonderful holiday destination. The region offers plenty of opportunities for both young and old to actively enjoy the mountains. After a day outdoors, it is a pleasure to return to Chalet Forest. Relax on the spacious terrace surrounding the property, soak up the sun on one of the loungers, or unwind in the outdoor whirlpool while taking in the impressive mountain scenery of the Lungau region.

Mauterndorf lies at an altitude of just under 1,100 metres in the middle of the Lungau, the south-eastern tip of the Salzburger Land on the border with Styria.
