The Neukirchen am Großvenediger and Bramberg an Wildkogel ski region, the Wildkogel Arena, is a pleasant and peaceful winter sports area. The wide slopes make the region suitable for the beginner. The slopes are extremely suited to learning required skiing techniques. The area is suitable for skiing, snowboarding and langlaufing and it also has a lit tobogganing track, the longest of Europe!
The region has more than 64 km of slopes, most of which have snow maschines. Deep-snow routes are available for the advanced skier.
In winter 2017/2018 the new 10-person cable cars lift the Ganzeralpe opened, resulting in an area of ​​15 hectares of off-piste opportunities.

Ski pass
The Zillertaler Super Ski Pass and the Zillertal Arena Ski Pass are used in the Wildkogel Arena. These passes will ensure you can use all lifts in the Zillertal Arena. There is also a Wildkogel Ski Arena ski pass. This ski pass will ensure you can use all lifts in the Wildkogel Arena. The modern chip card technology allows you to leave the ski pass in your pocket at all times. A 2 euro deposit is paid when the pass is issued. This amount will be returned when you hand-in the pass at any of the lifts upon your departure.

Ski bus
Free post and ski busses connect Wald im Pinzgau and Neukirchen. Free post and ski busses also ride between the towns and the valley stations of the Gerlosplatte, Hochkrimml and Königsleiten. A valid ski pass allows you to take the ski bus between Neukirchen, Wald, Krimml and Königsleiten.

Ski schools
There are various ski schools in the Wildkogel Arena where you can learn the ski or snowboard techniques in small groups. The excellent ski and snowboard instructors of the Neukirchen ski school will teach you everything you need to know including the latest techniques and styles. Book a perfect instruction programme for a week as a group or individually, undertake fantastic skiing trips or deep-snow descents with the best-trained supervisors. Cross-country skiing
From December to April, the tracks on this 200 km cross-country route will be fresh in this snow-assured region.

The tobogganing track that starts from the Wildkogel is open daily up to 10 p.m. It is 14 km long. A ride on the Wildkogelbahn (Neukirchen) or the Smaragdbahn (Bramberg) takes you to an altitude of approx. 2,300 metres. From the Wildkogelbahn you walk for about 15 minutes and, next, you can enjoy 45 minutes of descending fun! The difference in height is 1,200 metres. The ski bus will take you back to the starting point in Neukirchen.
There is also a 4.2 km ‘stockenbaum’ tobogganing track and a slightly shorter ‘kühnreit’ tobogganing track. More info about  Wildkogel Sledding Arena.
