Obertauern

Your favorite ski destination!

Snow-sure and safe at a high altitude

The Obertauern ski area sits like a saddle on the Radstadt Tauern Pass between the villages of Untertauern im Pongau and Tweng im Lungau, between the Enns and Murtal valleys. This is accompanied by an impressive location of the village, with its centre at an average of 1740m above sea level. From here, the slopes reach up to over 2,500m above sea level—a unique and very snow reliable ski area. From late November to early May, the snow conditions are usually perfect here. Thus, Obertauern offers a ski season of roughly 160 days!
