The Hocharn Penthouse Suite at Alpengold Rauris is a characterful suite on the top floor, suitable for up to 6 guests. Space and a cozy atmosphere take center stage here. With a living area of approximately 75 m², this suite is particularly suited to guests who are not only looking for comfort, but also appreciate warmth and ambience. The wood-burning stove gives the suite an authentic alpine character and creates a welcoming place to truly unwind. The layout is spacious and practical, featuring two comfortable bedrooms and two modern bathrooms, ensuring plenty of privacy for everyone. One bathroom is fitted with a rain shower for a refreshing start or end to the day, while the other includes a bathtub. Ideal for relaxing after a long hike or an active day in the mountains. Natural materials and warm colour tones further enhance the homely feel. The living area is all about spending time together. The wood-burning stove forms the cosy heart of the room and invites you to enjoy long evenings indoors, whatever the season. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped and offers ample space for cooking and dining together. Thanks to the large sliding doors, the room is filled with natural light and opens directly onto the spacious balcony. From here, you can enjoy views over the Rauris Valley and the surrounding mountains, a panorama that never loses its charm. Breakfast is included: spreads, milk and juice are provided in the refrigerator upon arrival, and fresh bread rolls are delivered to your door every morning.
In winter, Rauris is an excellent destination for those who enjoy a relaxed winter sports atmosphere. The ski area is well-organised, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. Skiers and snowboarders, as well as winter hikers and cross-country skiers, will find plenty to explore. The valley run (red slope 10) is within easy walking distance and offers direct access towards the Kreuzbodenbahn. In addition, the ski bus stops almost right outside the property, taking you quickly and comfortably to the lift or gondola. After a day in the snow, it is especially pleasant to return to the Hocharn Penthouse Suite, where the wood-burning stove provides warmth and a cosy ambiance.
In summer, the Rauris Valley is an ideal destination for nature lovers and those seeking tranquillity. The area around Alpengold Rauris is perfect for hiking and cycling through the Hohe Tauern National Park. The gondola easily takes you to higher elevations around 1,800 metres, where panoramic trails and family-friendly activities await. The Rauris primeval forest and the region’s historic gold heritage add extra character to the area. Gold panning or a visit to the local museum make for a varied and enjoyable day out. On warm summer days, the Sonnblick outdoor swimming pool offers refreshment and relaxation for the whole family. Admission is included with the Nationalpark SommerCard.
