Walking on the Golden Gate Bridge
ot the version from San Francisco, but the 'Alpine Golden Gate Bridge' is 200 meters long and offers spectacular views of the Glemmtal and surrounding mountains. The bridge hangs 42 meters above the ground and is part of the 'Baumzipfelweg,' a beautiful hiking trail that starts a few kilometers outside of Hinterglemm. After the Golden Gate Bridge, the trail continues on a wooden structure that takes you through the treetops. The entire hike is five kilometers long and suitable for children. Along the way, you'll also come across the Lindlingalm mountain hut, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch, have a drink, or try Austrian specialties such as Kaiserschmarren! The only way is down
Saalbach-Hinterglemm has a network of over 400 kilometers of trails suitable for mountain bikes and e-bikes. It's a superb destination for experienced mountain bikers, and due to the excellent facilities and guidance, it's also suitable for beginners. There are plenty of mountain bikes available for rent, and with the Joker Card, mountain bikers can also use all the lifts. This is particularly convenient because there are exciting downhill routes to explore. These special downhill routes are all about descending. It may sound easy, but downhill mountain biking requires skill and proper safety equipment!Climbing fun
limbing with the whole family is possible at Hochseilpark Saalbach-Hinterglemm, a sort of enlarged adventure playground with many routes called 'kletterparcours' that take you to great heights. On these routes, you secure yourself with a climbing harness, climb among treetops, and descend again. The kletterparcours are suitable for children who are at least 130 cm tall.
