The Kitzbüheler Alpen ski region comprises Alpbachtal, Kirchberg/Kitzbühel, Saalbach Hinterglemm, ST. Johann i.T., SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental, Wildschönau, Zell am See – Kaprun, Steinplatte Waidring and Fieberunn. It is a very modern ski region with 1,081 km of slopes.

About Kitzbüheler Alpen
We confine ourselves here to the region around Kitzbühel with 54 lifts and 170 km of slopes.
From Neukirchen am Grossvenediger, Bramberg am Wildkogel and Wald im Pinzgau this area is easily accessible by ski bus or car. The gondola, the so-called. Panoramabahn Kitzbühel Alps in Mittersill / Hollersbach can be reached from Neukirchen and Bramberg within 10 minutes and within 15 minutes from Wald.
Because of the 3S-Bahn between the skiing areas Hahnenkamm / Pengelstein and Jochberg / Resterhöhe, it is possible to ski the whole area in both directions, without making use of the free shuttle bus.
In the region, beginners (children, teenagers and families) and can use the practice lifts for free in all the villages.
Optimally groomed slopes invite you to enjoy unlimited skiing. Especially families appreciate the all-round possibilities with something to do for everyone.
The “Hahnenkamm” is a very well-known slope; it is a very steep slope for advanced skiers. Due to its large size, the ski region has many opportunities to have fun for young and old. For example, there are funparks, various tobogganing tracks which are open during the day and evening and illuminated slopes that will allow you to ski even in the evening. This ski region can be easily reached from Neukirchen, Bramberg and Wald by ski bus or car. The cable car, called Panoramabahn Kitzbüheler Alpen, can be reached within 10 minutes by car from Neukirchen and Bramberg and within 15 minutes by car from Wald.

The Kitzbühler Alpen All Star Pass can be used in the Kitzbühler Alpen. This pass will allow you access to the 10 big ski regions of Tirol and salzburg: Kitzbühel, SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, Schneewinkel, Hochtal Wildschönau, Alpbachtal, Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang, Zell am See & Kaprun (inkl. Gletscher Kitzsteinhorn 3.203 m). The modern chip card technology allows you to leave the ski pass in your pocket at all times. A 2 euro deposit is paid when the pass is issued. This amount will be returned when you hand-in the pass at any of the lifts upon your departure.
The Kitzbühler Alpen All Star Pass also allows you to make use of the ski bus free of charge. The terms and conditions of the ski region are applicable.
There are various ski schools in the Kitzbühler Alpen where you can learn skiing or snowboarding techniques in small groups. The various ski teachers can teach you the latest techniques and styles. You can select one of the week-long group programmes or request private lessons. If you are a more experienced skier, you can have a professional guide lead the way when making fantastic skiing tours or deep-snow descents to get to know the most beautiful spots in the region.
There are many snowboarding options due to the size of the region. There is a snow park in Kitzbühel Horn and on the Resterhöhe. Snowboarders can do their thing and practice their Freestyle moves.
The Night Park in Hinterglemm, the Learn-to-ride snow park in Saalbach and the Nitro snow park in Leogang are a treat for real Freestyle enthusiasts. This is not only a good place for snowboard aficionados, it is also fun for spectators who can admire snowboarding tricks and moves.
The Kitzsteinhorn has a new snow park: the Kitzsteinhorn Mellow Park, a real hotspot for snowboarders.

This region has more to offer than snowboarding alone, for example, tobogganing tracks! There are two tracks in Kitzbühel: One on the Gaisberg (Gais Mountain).
Around Kitzbuhel and the Wilder Kaiser there are 580 km of prepared skating and classic cross-country routes. The Kitzbuhler Alpen region is known for its beautiful wide valleys and especially the breathtaking views making it ideal for cross-country skiing. Next to the beautiful prepared routes, there are many starting point where you can change your clothes, put your belongings in lockable cupboards and shower.
