I had planned my holiday between March 16 - June 15. due to the measures against coronavirus (COVID-19), this cannot be continued. What now? 
Since we are a member of the SGR (The Dutch guarantee fund), you will receive the SGR corona-voucher from us.

For how long is the SGR corona voucher valid? 
An issue date will be stated on the SGR corona voucher. The end date is a maximum of 1 year after the date of issue. 

What if my summer vacation cannot continue due to the corona virus?
At this point we don't know how things will develop this summer. But you can assume that we will inform you in time. If you are unable to travel, a suitable solution will be suggested.
  
What is the value of the SGR corona voucher based on? 
The value of the SGR corona voucher consists only of the amount already paid (in the case of some customers, therefore, only of the deposit, for example). The value of your voucher is equal to the travel sum of your holiday accommodation. The value of your voucher will be deducted from the new booking. If an amount remains, this credit remains valid via your voucher.
  
What is meant by the travel sum? 
The travel sum of your holiday accommodation concerns the costs that have been paid to ChaletsPlus. 
"Insurance premiums, policy costs, change costs, telephone costs, credit card costs, deposits, legal costs, interest costs and costs for obtaining visas and similar costs are not part of the travel sum." 
  
Deposit and tourist tax are therefore excluded from compensation from the SGR Corona voucher. 
  
Costs for bed linen / towels and cleaning costs paid in advance to ChaletsPlus with the rental of the accommodation are also included in the SGR Corona voucher. 
 
Costs outside the travel sum 
When bed linen / towels and cleaning fees are to be paid on the spot, they are not covered by the SGR coverage. After all, you didn’t have these costs either.  
  
The paid deposit and tourist tax are not included in the SGR Corona voucher and will be refunded. 
  
What if the rental price is higher (or lower) than the value of the SGR corona voucher? 
The value of your SGR corona voucher will be deducted from the new journey. If there is an amount open, you have to pay it and if an amount remains, this credit remains valid via your voucher.
  
Can I book a holiday home other than the one from my original booking? 
Yes, the SGR corona voucher is valid for the entire ChaletsPlus housing offering, based on availability. 
  
My travel party is falling apart - for whatever reason - can the SGR corona voucher be distributed? 
The SGR Corona voucher is issued by the SGR participating organizations and is registered in the name of the lead booker of the cancelled trip, in accordance with the conditions of SGR.

I live outside the Netherlands, does the guarantee scheme of the SGR corona voucher applies to me? 
Yes, because you have booked through ChaletsPlus, a member of SGR, all customers, regardless of residence or country of origin, are covered by the SGR guarantee scheme regarding the SGR corona voucher. 
  
What about the (ordered and now paid) ski passes? 
These costs are not included in the fare and will be transferred back to you. 
 
What happens if the SGR participant goes bankrupt before I can use my voucher. 
SGR will refund the value of the voucher to you. In case of a claim you will need the Corona voucher, so keep the voucher well. You must also attach the booking confirmation and invoice of the cancelled trip plus proof of payment (in accordance with the SGR guarantee scheme) to your claim. 
  
I am insured and want a cancellation fee as soon as possible? 
Unfortunately, there is no travel insurance that reimburses the travel sum under the coronavirus conditions. For this reason, you will not receive a cancellation fee from us either. 
  
Why did it all take so long before I got clarity? 
A crisis situation has arisen around the so-called coronavirus (Covid-19). In this crisis situation it is important not to make hasty decisions and to find a good solution for all guests. This has now been found in the SGR Corona voucher. This is covered by SGR and allows you to rebook the cancelled holiday accommodation at a later date.
