Description of Herdershut

This comfortable, furnished chalet has a unique location on the Silberleiten in Hochkrimml, with a view of Königsleiten and the beautiful mountain peaks! The living floor is spacious and filled with light, and has access to the sunny terrace. The comfortable seating area by the wood stove or TV is a wonderful place to relax, while the dining table offers space for board games or shared meals. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and has a cosy breakfast bar. Above the kitchen is a loft with two double beds, separated by a partition wall. There are two bedrooms with double beds and two bedrooms with double beds and bunk beds. Two of the four bathrooms have bathtubs in which you can relax after an active day in the mountains. In total, up to 16 people can stay very comfortably in Chalet Herdershut. There is room for two cars at the chalet itself and a further two cars in the nearby parking garage.

In winter, this holiday home is the ideal starting point for a winter getaway for the whole family. Everyone can find their own pace in the snow-heavy ski area of the Zillertal Arena, which boasts kilometres of slopes. Besides skiing and snowboarding, the ski area offers even more opportunities for fun in the snow. For example, try tobogganing with the whole family, or enjoy the winter wonderland during cross-country skiing. After a wonderfully active day, hang your gear on the ski boot dryer, store your skis in the storage room and relax with a drink by the fireplace or a game at the dining table.

In summer, Hochkrimml is the perfect place to escape from the hectic pace of daily life. Stroll through the fascinating surroundings and let the breathtaking mountain scenery clear your head. Alternatively, get on a bike and discover the beautiful valleys in the Hohe Tauern National Park. A visit to the highest waterfalls in Europe should also not be missed. On warm summer days, you can enjoy water fun at the Durlaßboden reservoir – a wonderful place for the whole family!

A high alpine oasis of spectacular scenery

Hochkrimml sits at an altitude of 1,700 metres above sea level, making it the highest village in the Zillertal Arena. Lying almost directly on the Gerlos Pass on the border between Salzburg and Tyrol in the Zillertal Alps, with the winter sports area consisting of three individual municipalities: Filzsteinalm, Duxeralm and Silberleiten and belongs to the municipality of Krimml. You can reach this village by car or bus with ease, with plenty of conventional skiing and cross-country skiing potential thanks to the close proximity of the Gerlosplatte. From Hochkrimml, you can reach the Zillertal Arena directly via a red downhill run to Königsleiten. Enjoy endless hours of high alpine skiing in this pristine part of Austria. With four dozen apartments and chalets across three villages to choose from, you’ve plenty of choices when it comes to picking somewhere to stay!
